Akins agreed Friday with the Browns on a two-year deal, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Scouting Report
He has some solid moves for getting open for his quarterback, and he possesses the long arms needed to excel at tight end as both a receiver and as a blocker. Plays bigger than his size, and shows good athleticism in general. He lacks the ideal size NFL teams look for in a tight end, and his small hands limit him in some blocking and ball-catching assignments.
Long Range Potential: Athletic pass-catching tight end with starter tools.
