The Oakland Raiders acquired wide receiver Zay Jones from the Buffalo Bills for a fifth-round draft pick in 2021. |
A misdemeanor domestic battery charge against Jones was dismissed Tuesday, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.
Jones caught six of nine targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Titans.
He's proven as a go-to, high-volume receiver. Can change direction in a flash thanks to great quickness, is good moving laterally to shift his routes, and is strong enough to not get locked up by defensive backs. Brings a good raw frame for the pro wideout spot, good foot speed, and nice overall explosiveness (including as a leaper). Struggles to make the big, long gainer play on a consistent basis. Has the tools of a No. 1 wideout but performs more like a possession guy, leading to questions about his pure playmaking ability for the NFL.
Long Range Potential: Toolsy, talented receiver with starter potential.
