Sherfield was on the field for 12 of the Vikings' 77 offensive snaps and recorded a six-yard catch on his lone target in Monday's 30-12 win over the Bears.
Sherfield had one reception for 11 yards in Sunday's win at Jacksonville.
He is lean, athletic and extremely fast--all desirable qualities in a wide receiver. Boasts enough downfield acceleration to spook the defense; he is a threat to turn short and medium range routes into big gains. Succeeds in getting separation from defenders. Will compete for the ball and displays a knack for making plays on the boundaries. Is also a good student of the game; he is diligent in his preparation with a consistent work ethic that endears him to coaches. Is not a high-volume receiver and is still a work in progress as a route runner. Can play special teams, which adds to his value at the NFL level.
Long Range Potential: Depth wide receiver and special teams contributor.
