Slayton caught his only target for 16 yards in Sunday's 35-14 loss to Baltimore.
Slayton (concussion) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
An eye-popping college average of 20 yards per catch gives it away: defenses must beware of his quick-strike ability in the vertical attack. The former state sprint champion has the motor to separate from coverage, the ideal height and frame to win matchups with smaller corners, plus excellent body control and extension to make in-flight adjustments and seize jump balls. Was not heavily targeted in a run-first college offense. Can use refinement in his route running and must also improve his ball security in order to maximize output in the NFL.
Long Range Potential: Quality wide receiver with upside.
