Boyd and the Texans agreed to a one-year deal Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Scouting Report
An overachieving defensive back who was drafted in the seventh round out of the University of Texas, he lacks elite speed and athleticism. Nevertheless, he does a solid job of staying with his man in coverage and can also contribute with tackles in run defense. Lacks playmaking ability and is not overly tall, so he is best suited to coming off the bench at the NFL level.
Long Range Potential: Depth cornerback.
