Werner recorded nine tackles (seven solo) during Sunday's 26-8 loss against the Chargers.
Werner (hamstring) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Though he can play all three linebacker spots (in a 4-3 scheme), he is probably best on the strong side (or as an inside 'backer in a 3-4 setup). He can line up against tight ends in the slot, although he has yet to show the kind of playmaking athleticism that would make him stand out. He needs a stronger base to fight off angle blocks, but he does hit hard when he gets a runner in his sights.
Long Range Potential: Versatile linebacker.
