Stokes (foot, knee) didn't practice Tuesday at OTAs, but he was active on the sidelines doing rehab work, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that he hopes to get Stokes (ankle) back "as soon as possible," meaning there's a chance he won't be available Week 1 in September, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
The former high school sprinter-turned cornerback continues to show blazing speed, which lets him play outside or from the slot. He has to look more toward attacking the football rather than merely playing the receiver in order to use his speed to its utmost. Though he can run with anyone and has the speed to outrun mistakes in coverage, he still has room for improvement as a run defender.
