Mantha signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with Calgary on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Scouting Report
The two-time 50-goal scorer in junior hockey has not come near that level in the NHL despite having all the tools for success: he is big and fast, has an excellent shot and displays supreme hand/eye coordination. Inconsistency and injuries have held him back, but he also needs to improve his play away from the puck in order to make the most of his offensive talents.
Long Range Potential: Big, talented but inconsistent scoring winger.
