Bellows was playing on the top line with Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee in the Islanders 4-1 win over the Flyers on Monday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Bellows scored a goal and a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Sabres.
Has good strength and the ability to play a physical brand of hockey (while still contributing on offense). Is a natural sniper who can play both wing and center. Owns great pedigree as the son of former NHLer Brian Bellows. Needs to cut down on the number of bad penalties he takes, plus fill out his 6-0 frame, in order to maximize output at the National Hockey League level. Also, he's a good skater but lacks a bit of finesse in his game.
Long Range Potential: Big, physical scoring forward with good upside.
