Soderblom allowed five goals on 35 shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings.
Soderblom is expected to start on the road against LA on Thursday, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The undrafted Swedish goaltender came to North America after an excellent age-21 season in his home country, where he was second in the SHL in save percentage and tied for second in goals-against average. Has the size NHL teams want in a goalkeeper today, though he will have to add some strength. Moves well laterally, reads plays well and is getting better at tracking the puck, which has improved his rebound control. Must adapt to the smaller rinks in the NHL.
Long Range Potential: Talented goaltender with upside.
