Protas (lower body) is expected to play Sunday versus the Jets, according to Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press.
Scouting Report
The huge (6'6") Belarusian forward has good hockey sense and playmaking skills. He has to add strength and figures to play at well over 200 pounds when he fills out. Will have to improve his skating, which is only adequate as he enters his 20s. His size alone should ensure him an NHL career if he is merely an adequate skater; if it improves, he can become an impact top-six forward.
Long Range Potential: Enormous, talented forward with good upside.
