Stallings will start at catcher and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Scouting Report
Is a huge physical specimen for a catcher (6-4, 220 pounds) but he is a pretty good athlete behind the plate. Generally calls a pretty good game. Lacks consistency with the bat and does not draw enough walks to offset his strikeout rate. Lacks the overall game to be a starting catcher in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Decent catcher.
