The Rangers are trading Semien to the Mets in exchange for outfielder Brandon Nimmo, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
An exceptional athlete, he also boasts a strong throwing arm for the shortstop position. Also displays some pop in his bat and can turn on an inside fastball and crush it with aplomb. Needs to cut down on the number of errors he makes in order to stick at the shortstop position over the long haul. Also, his range may be a little lacking for the shortstop position.
Long Range Potential: Versatile, athletic infielder.
