Russell isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Hawks, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Russell racked up 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Monday's 109-80 loss to the Timberwolves.
Slick and instinctive as a playmaker. Brings size and court vision as a distributor and can make highlight-reel passes. Possesses a nice handle for a player his size, with a wide array of deceptive dribbles and moves. Pushes the ball well, and is a hard-to-guard lefty with a sweet outside touch. Maturity and leadership are major question marks. Still a bit turnover-prone and somewhat streaky. Not all that explosive, and must bulk up to do a better job of getting in the lane to draw fouls and / or dish out. Can make more use of his length and frame as a defender.
Long Range Potential: Playmaking combo guard, with star potential and issues.
