Grans was traded from the Kings to the Flyers on Tuesday in a three-team deal, NHL.com reports.
Has National Hockey League size and his right-handed shot is added value at the highest level. Moves the puck reasonably well and is a solid defender who uses his long stick effectively against attacking forwards. Skates very well for his size. Can log a ton of minutes at any level. While he is rather adept at joining the rush, he needs to learn how to pick his spots better; he often gets caught up ice due to bad pinches. Also lacks a bit of hockey sense, which prevents him from becoming a true No. 1 defenseman in the NHL.
Long Range Potential: Big, smooth minute-munching defenseman with upside.
