Georgiev was the first goalie off Thursday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the start at home against the Avalanche.
Georgiev will be in net for Tuesday's home matchup against the Jets, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.
Wants to be a starting goalkeeper but has yet to show the kind of consistency a true No. 1 'tender displays in the NHL. At his best, he is a confident, athletic goaltender who can steal games all on his own. Seems to play better with more activity and can look shaky if he has had a long break between appearances. He has to do a better job of controlling rebounds and tracking the puck through traffic. Must also make sure he does not go down too early.
Long Range Potential: Solid goaltender with consistency issues.
