Thaiss is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Has great control of the strike zone because of his supreme patience at the plate, so he can walk as much as he strikes out at lower levels. Can play either corner infield position, which adds to his overall value in MLB (he is a good athlete who used to be a catcher). Will never be a great hitter for average, and is also prone to severe hitting funks.
Long Range Potential: Versatile corner infielder and patient hitter with a little upside.
