The Royals placed Wright (shoulder) on the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Wright (shoulder) agreed to a one-year contract with the Royals on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
Owns a tremendous fastball, which has both the velocity and movement to dominate on the bump. Has two breaking pitches (curve and slider), plus a changeup. Also displays a very projectable frame. Is still a bit raw, so he needs to continue to harness his arsenal for maximum output in Major League Baseball. His command tends to suffer if he over-throws his fastball. Needs to develop better feel for his pitches.
Long Range Potential: Talented right-hander with good upside.
