Bell signed a one-year contract with the Bengals on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Bell ended the 2022 regular season with 77 tackles, four interceptions, eight passes defended and one sack across 16 games. He added 17 tackles and one sack over the Bengals' three postseason contests.
Well-rounded as a playmaker in the secondary. Instinctive: reads the action very well, then makes good decisions. Always around the ball, either making plays on it for bust-ups and interceptions, or making tackles. Pretty strong for his size, and able to jam and handle single coverage assignments well. Not ideally-sized for a pro safety, and doesn't make up for it with blazing speed nor exceptional leaping ability to contest jump balls. Can do more on the safety blitz. May be mostly limited to free safety as a pro (as he's not a very physical, intimidating presence).
Long Range Potential: Instinctive playmaking defensive back, with some starter ability.
