Pickard will get the starting nod at home Sunday against the Devils, Oilers play-by-by announcer Jack Michaels reports.
Pickard stopped 13 of 14 shots after replacing Stuart Skinner midway through the first period of Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Owns a projectable frame, as well as the ability to be a workhorse starting netminder at lower levels. Is fairly economical in his overall movement in the crease area. Could stand to fill out his 6-1 frame even more in order to maximize output at the National Hockey League level. Must also curb his penchant for letting in soft goals.
Long Range Potential: Talented, inconsistent goaltender with some upside.
