The Flyers claimed MacEwen off waivers from the Canucks on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Scouting Report
Has excellent size for the National Hockey League game, plus the versatility to line up either at wing or center. Was a fairly prolific scorer in the junior ranks, but is more of a role player at the highest level. Needs to continue to work on his play without the puck in order to maximize his appearances in the NHL.
Long Range Potential: Big, versatile forward with some upside.
