Howden scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Predators.
Howden (upper body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup Tuesday against Seattle, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Though he has not lived up to his status as a first-round pick (in 2016), he has found his niche as a big, hard-working defensive forward who does his best work keeping opponents off the scoreboard. He can contribute a few goals, but his usefulness suffers when asked to play more than he is cut out for. He is most valuable when put in a position that allows him to play to his strengths.
Long Range Potential: Sound, versatile depth forward.
