Montreal traded Kovacevic to the Devils in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick Sunday.
Scouting Report
The big, late-blooming defenseman has some untapped offensive potential, and his heavy right-handed shot could earn him power-play time eventually. He plays with a physical edge around the net, which should also help him get playing time. He is at his best when he keeps his game simple in the defensive zone.
