Carrier (upper body) was taken off injured reserve prior to his trade to Montreal on Wednesday, per Arpon Basu of The Athletic.
Scouting Report
One of the smaller defensemen in the NHL compensates for his lack of size with his mobility and hockey sense, enabling him to play 20-plus minutes on a regular basis. He moves the puck well and is sound defensively, though he has a tough time holding off bigger forwards. His big shot makes him a useful weapon on the power play.
Long Range Potential: Mobile, minute-munching defenseman.
