Wedgewood is slated to serve as the starting netminder for Tuesday's road game against the Penguins, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports.
Is a big, flexible goaltender with good reflexes who can cover a lot of net even in his butterfly. He has a pretty good glove hand and tracks the puck adequately. Has had success in the American Hockey League and is capable of shutting down top-level opponents on any given night, but has yet to show the kind of consistency needed to earn regular work at the NHL level.
Long Range Potential: Journeyman goaltender.
