Lance completed four of six passes for 21 yards with an interception and added 17 rushing yards on three carries in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Eagles.
Lance is in line to move up to the number two spot on Dallas' quarterback depth chart, as regular starter Dak Prescott is expected to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
A one-year starter at FCS powerhouse North Dakota State turned into the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has all the tools to be an upper-level NFL quarterback. He is supremely mobile with a good enough arm that should get better as he matures. He also displays a solid football IQ despite his lack of experience. He has to resist the temptation to be a hero when he is running and learn to slide well enough to minimize collisions that can result in injuries.
