Knies (upper body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup Saturday against Tampa Bay, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

The Arizona-born power forward has good size and skill, offering an intriguing blend of power and finesse. He excels along the wall and knows how to get the puck into good shooting position. He was good enough to make the U.S. Olympic team as a college freshman. Has an underrated scoring touch.
