Atkinson signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
Scouting Report
The talented forward is in his 30s and continues to make up for a lack of size with his speed, skill and smarts. Is more than willing to go to the front of the net despite his small stature and knows where to go to get open for scoring opportunities. Is also an excellent penalty killer and a threat to score when his team is shorthanded.
Long Range Potential: Smallish but solid scoring winger.
