Manson (upper body) might suit up during the Avs' three-game road trip but won't be in action against Vancouver on Monday, Avalanche play-by-play announcer Conor McGahey reports.
Manson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
The son of longtime NHL defenseman Dave Manson plays the same position as dad but does it differently, especially when it comes to fighting. He is big and strong, can play a physical game while averaging 20 minutes per game. His offensive numbers have dropped off after his mid-20s but he remains a solid citizen along the blueline.
