McNABB MOVES TO MINNY

The Minnesota Vikings acquired quarterback Donovan McNabb from the Washington Redskins for a sixth-round draft pick in 2012 and a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2013.

What does it give the Minnesota Vikings
The Vikes land yet another veteran QB in McNabb and who knows what he can still do? Whatever the case, the 34-year-old McNabb was a flop in Washington last year but has more weapons to work with in Minny. The Vikings are a mostly veteran team trying to win right now, so hopefully McNabb can turn back the clock for them.

What does it give the Washington Commanders
Not much comes back in return here for Washington for a player who was supposed to make the 'Skins a contender. A couple of sixth-rounders (2012 and 2013) won't likely bring players as talented as McNabb, but at least Washington cuts some payroll. For now, it appears Rex Grossman and John Beck are in the running for the Redskins' top job under center.
