EVANS TO EDMONTON

The Edmonton Oilers acquired forward Blake Evans from the St. Louis Blues for future considerations.

What does it give the Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers don't even have an AHL affiliate to call their own this season, so adding minor-league fodder like Evans is somewhat curious. Obviously, the Oilers have a plan, but it's not necessarily visible to the naked eye.

What does it give the St. Louis Blues
The Blues won't get much (if anything) for Evans' rights, but it may allow players with more upside to receive more ice time down on the farm.
