BLACKHAWKS, CANADIENS SWAP AHLERS

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired winger Andreas Martinsen from the Montreal Canadiens for winger Kyle Baun.

What does it give the Chicago Blackhawks
Martinsen is a tough, physical winger who can play a fourth-line role in the NHL. For now, he will play for the AHL's Rockford IceHogs but may see NHL time later on in 2017-18. He brings a different element than Baun.

What does it give the Montreal Canadiens
The writing was on the wall for Martinsen after the Canadiens acquired Nicolas Deslauriers from Buffalo earlier in the day. As for Baun, he is more of a scorer than Martinsen but will mainly serve as depth for Montreal.

Fantasy impact
There is nothing to see here, as Martinsen and Baun will start 2017-18 in the minor leagues. Neither player will provide much of a fantasy impact--ever.
