FAST FOR MINK

The Florida Panthers acquired defenseman T.J. Fast from the St. Louis Blues for forward Graham Mink.

What does it give the Florida Panthers
This was strictly an AHL-level trade, as Fast will wind up playing for the AHL's Rochester Americans in 2010-11. He adds depth to the Panthers blueline, but nothing more.

What does it give the St. Louis Blues
Mink will line up with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen in 2010-11. He's a decent depth player who can come up to the NHL and play a few minutes in a pinch, either at wing or center.
