The Vegas Golden Knights acquired defenseman Zachary Leslie from the Los Angeles Kings for future considerations.
What does it give the Vegas Golden Knights
Leslie brings more defensive depth to the Pacific Division leaders, though the 24-year-old blueliner is not expected to see much NHL action this season. A restricted free agent after 2017-18, Leslie might not receive a qualifying offer from Vegas this off-season.
What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
The Kings decided to part ways with Leslie after making him their sixth-round draft choice (178th overall) in 2013. Since then, he spent two more seasons in the OHL and was in his third AHL campaign at the time of the deal. LA will not receive much in return.
Fantasy impact
This deal will not do much for fantasy owners; Leslie's fantasy value is next to nil at this point.
