In Olofsson, the Canadiens add a decent blueliner who should add a little more organizational depth. Olofsson, who turns 24 in December, has notched 56 career NHL games to date.
What does it give the Minnesota Wild
The Wild get younger with this deal, as Bitten is only 20 years old. A third-round draft pick in 2016, Bitten should add organizational depth at center for a Minnesota squad that is aging at the position.
Fantasy impact
Neither Olofsson nor Bitten are draft-worthy fantasy assets at present time (even in keeper leagues). There should be better options in most fantasy leagues at either defense or center.
