The Colorado Avalanche acquired right winger Scott Parker from the San Jose Sharks for a sixth-round draft pick in 2008.

With middleweight Brad May off to Anaheim, the Avs needed an enforcer. Enter Scott Parker, a legitimate heavyweight but with limited skill. He'll keep the opposition honest but doesn't figure to see much ice-time down the stretch.
