KINGS, WILD SWAP MINOR LEAGUERS
The Los Angeles Kings acquired center Pavel Jenys from the Minnesota Wild for defenseman Stepan Falkovsky.
What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
In a swap of Europeans currently toiling in the ECHL, which is a minor-league level one rung below the American Hockey League, the Kings are taking a flier on center Jenys. LA is currently a hot mess, so they will need a lot more than this move to right the ship.
What does it give the Minnesota Wild
The Wild are playing very well right now, so they do not need to make a lot of changes. In Falkovsky, Minnesota lands a towering blueline presence at 6-7, 224 pounds. However, the Belarussian is unlikely to ever reach the NHL this season (and perhaps ever).
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy value here, unless there are those who are into ECHL fantasy hockey leagues. Not likely.
