PENS, SENS SWAP FOUR

The Ottawa Senators acquired defenseman Stefan Elliott and winger Tobias Lindberg from the Pittsburgh Penguins for forward Ben Sexton and defenseman Macoy Erkamps.

What does it give the Ottawa Senators
This is merely a minor-league swap of four players. Lindberg was originally drafted by Ottawa, while Elliott has bounced around four different leagues (AHL, NHL, KHL and SHL) since 2015-16. He turns 28 next month.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
Sexton is an Ottawa native who was originally drafted by Boston in 2009. He can play both wing and center and should find a role with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Erkamps was toiling in the ECHL this season.

Fantasy impact
There is nothing to see here, as none of the four players involved in the trade is expected to spend much time in the NHL this season.
