GRANT GOES BACK TO ANAHEIM

The Anaheim Ducks acquired forward Derek Grant from the Pittsburgh Penguins for forward Joseph Blandisi.

What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
Anaheim is bringing Grant back, following his career year in 2017-18 (66 GP, 12-12-24 with the Ducks). He signed with Pittsburgh last summer but never really found his footing with the Penguins. With Ryan Kesler now back on Injured Reserve, look for Grant to play regularly in Anaheim for the rest of 2018-19.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
In Blandisi, the Penguins land a younger, more energetic forward who saw NHL action in three games for the Ducks earlier this season. Blandisi has 74 NHL games to his name and figures to play a fourth-line role in Pittsburgh (at least until the team gets healthy up front). This is a good move for Pittsburgh.

Fantasy impact
Grant was a scoring factor in Anaheim last season but do not expect similar production this time around. He will be a role player for the Ducks, so avoid him in fantasy leagues. Blandisi will also play a depth role for the Penguins, so he also can be avoided at this time.
