Leach will merely be a depth defenseman for a Ducks team that has eight NHL-caliber blueliners and several quality prospects in the pipeline.

Segal will remain in the AHL for now, but he may have a shot at cracking the Lightning lineup next season. The seventh rounder is gravy at this point.
