SALOMAKI FOR HARPUR
The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired winger Miikka Salomaki from the Nashville Predators for defenseman Ben Harpur.
What does it give the Toronto Maple Leafs
In Salomaki, the Maple Leafs get a hard-working, gritty winger with plenty of NHL experience. He has spent most of 2019-20 in the AHL, however. He adds mostly depth to Toronto's bottom-six winger situation.
What does it give the Nashville Predators
Harpur was part of the huge Cody Ceci trade with Ottawa last year but failed to play in any NHL contests with the Maple Leafs. He moves to Nashville, who lack depth along the blueline after their top three defensemen.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as both Salomaki and Harpur are likely to remain at the American Hockey League level for the foreseeable future. Neither has much fantasy value even if they were to play regularly.
