TENKRAT TO BOSTON
The Boston Bruins acquired winger Petr Tenkrat from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a seventh-round draft pick in 2006.
What does it give the Boston Bruins
Tenkrat returns to the NHL, following a four-year hiatus. He'll probably get a fair amount of ice time early on in 2006-07 to prove he is an ideal winger in the new era of the NHL. At age 29, Tenkrat needs to quickly make his mark in Beantown.
What does it give the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs didn't like the idea of signing Tenkrat to an NHL contract as much as the Bruins did, so they instead took a late-round draft pick for what was considered a frozen asset.
