The Florida Panthers acquired left winger/center Chad Kilger from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a third-round draft pick in 2008.

What does it give the Florida Panthers
A big, talented, hard-working two-way player who can help out especially on the pentalty kill. Kilger never quite lived up to being the 4th-overall pick of the 1995 draft, but he has developed himself into a very solid two-way player. He can help the Cats at both ends of the ice, but especially defensively.

Yet another solid draft pick to start their rebuilding project in the offseason.
