BLACKHAWKS ADD ANOTHER HAYES

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired winger Jimmy Hayes from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a second-round draft pick in 2010.

What does it give the Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks drafted Hayes' brother in Round 1, so they decided to complete the family reunion on Day 2 of the NHL draft. Like his brother Kevin, Jimmy Hayes is a long-range prospect--something the Blackhawks can afford to wait on.

What does it give the Toronto Maple Leafs
With the second rounder, the Maple Leafs selected WHL left-winger Brad Ross. He's an agitating type with some upside who fits the Brian Burke model to perfection. He also may be a little closer to being NHL ready than Hayes, which is also important to the Leafs.
