McLEOD FOR CHOUINARD
The Philadelphia Flyers acquired center Kiel McLeod from the Phoenix Coyotes for forward Eric Chouinard.
What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers love projects like McLeod. At this point, he may be insurance in case captain Keith Primeau cannot make it back from his head injury issues. McLeod will replace Chouinard on the AHL Philadelphia Phantoms roster.
What does it give the Phoenix Coyotes
Chouinard may have a little more offensive potential than McLeod, so perhaps the Coyotes are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. For now, Chouinard will continue to toil in the AHL, although now for the San Antonio Rampage.
