SAUVE TO BEANTOWN

The Boston Bruins acquired goaltender Philippe Sauve from the Phoenix Coyotes for forward Tyler Redenbach.

What does it give the Boston Bruins
The Bruins have goalie issues that go beyond mere depth moves, so perhaps adding Sauve now is a pre-cursor of things to come. Sauve should move from San Antonio to Providence in the AHL, where he'll likely see limited duty until Hannu Toivonen returns to the NHL.

What does it give the Phoenix Coyotes
Redenbach was originally a Coyote but left the organization when he couldn't come to terms on an entry-level contract. The Coyotes obviously like him, since they've gone out of their way to get him back. For now, he'll move from Providence to San Antonio in the 'A'.
