LEMIEUX LEAVES NEW YORK FOR LA

The Los Angeles Kings acquired winger Brendan Lemieux from the New York Rangers for a fourth-round draft pick in 2021.

What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
This deal may be a fresh start for Lemieux, who is similar to a few other bottom-six wingers on the Kings (namely Carl Grundstrom and Austin Wagner). LA will continue to tinker with adding more wingers in the coming years, as they appear set down the middle for both the present and future.

What does it give the New York Rangers
The Rangers decided to part ways with Lemieux after he spent parts of three seasons in New York. They get back a fourth-rounder in this year's draft and will look to others to play fourth-line minutes on the wing. Journeymen Colin Blackwell, Phillip Di Giuseppe and Kevin Rooney outplayed Lemieux this season.

Fantasy impact
Lemieux may be a better fit in Los Angeles, but that may still not translate into fantasy points. Take a wait-and-see approach here.
