Stefishen has some upside after a promising season in the WHL. He'll now turn pro and look to build on his 2010-11 campaign. It's a low-risk acquisition by the Caps, adding an asset for depth purposes with the potential for more.
What does it give the Nashville Predators
Clearly, the Predators didn't share Washington's view on Stefishen as a prospect, so they shipped him to D.C. for a conditional pick. The conditions likely have to do with the Caps' ability to sign Stefishen, who was drafted out of Ohio State.
