COYOTES ADD C O'REILLY

The Phoenix Coyotes acquired center Cal O'Reilly from the Nashville Predators for a fourth-round draft pick in 2012.

What does it give the Phoenix Coyotes
The Coyotes needed a center to replace Kyle Turris, who remains an un-signed restricted free agent. Enter O'Reilly, an offensive player who must adjust to Dave Tippett's defensive system in the Desert. If he can do that, he'll be a solid replacement for Turris. However, O'Reilly doesn't have great upside.

What does it give the Nashville Predators
The Preds had a surplus at the center position after Mike Fisher returned to action recently. They preferred keeping rookie Blake Geoffrion as their No. 4 center over O'Reilly, mainly due to Geoffrion's superior two-way game. As a result, Nashville took a mid-round draft pick in return.
