What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
If the Avs make the playoffs this year, the Jackets will receive a
first rounder in 2008. Otherwise, the Avs' No. 1 pick in 2009 will be
dealt. Furthermore, Columbus also receives an extra pick if Foote
decides to re-sign with Colorado. This is a great return for the
Jackets, though they are clearly in sell-mode now.
